Maston returns with his new single Foreign Affairs, backed with Liaison. Recorded in London and Paris, Foreign Affairs dives deeper into Maston’s signature avante-lounge style, with Bacharach-esque flourishes, and musical champagne bubbles galore.
The B-side Liaison evokes an equally romantic sentiment, with an exotica inspired string section and a haunting piano melody, conjuring a bloody sunset on a deserted beach.
Both tracks feature over a dozen musicians, including Oscar Sholto Robertson on drums and frequent collaborator Elie Ghersinu on bass. Foreign Affairs will be available digitally on April 11th, with a 7” vinyl release coming this summer on BeWith Records.
